turmeric bliss balls

It’s an addiction. A meditative addiction and I can’t stop.

There is something about the bliss ball rolling trance that I can’t get enough of.

These are my latest flavour combination. I love the bright yellow hue. It’s unexpected. It makes people smile. A lot like sunshine.

I used Isowhey Sacha Inchi, Turmeric and Gubinge Powder, but you could just use regular turmeric powder (just make sure you reduce the quantity to 1/2 -1 tsp or you’ll be throwing the batch in the bin before you get to the best bit (the rolling).

Note:  If you make substitutions due to allergies or flavour preferences I cannot guarantee the results. Below are some substitute suggestions, but they have not been tested. If you follow them I would love to hear about your results in the comments below.

Dried apricots and prunes: You can substitute dried dates or figs.

Nut butter: You can use any nut butter you like. I’ve tried cashew butter and peanut butter and they both taste great.

Protein powder: I alternate between hemp protein, brown rice and pea protein and whey protein. They all taste great. Opt for natural or vanilla flavour.

Isowhey Sacha Inchi, Turmeric and Gubinge Powder: You can use regular turmeric powder but reduce the quantity to 1/2 – 1 tsp. Taste as you go.

Desiccated coconut: You can use flaked or shredded coconut. If you can’t eat coconut sub with almond meal.
