There’s inspiring, and then there’s the kick-you-in-the-butt-and-get-your-juices-flowing kind of inspiring.
Melissa Ambrosini is the latter. And you my dear friends are in luck, because Melissa took time out of her busy schedule, inspiring women to live their wildest dreams and create a heart-centred life, to join me for an Inspired Wednesdays chat. Woo hoo!
Named a ‘self-help guru’ by Elle Magazine, Melissa teaches women how to master their inner Mean Girl, smash through limiting beliefs, and ditch the self doubt so that they can start truly living the life of their dreams.
What kind of things get your inspirational juices flowing?
Being in nature + soulful conversations + meditation + yoga + writing + reading + dancing + painting all inspire me so much.
Who are your foodie mentors?
I love Donna Gates, Maria Hunt and Pete Evans.
An integral part of The Inspired Table’s food philosophies focuses on mindfulness, in what ways do you incorporate mindfulness into your life.
I practice mindfulness every single day through meditation and being in the present moment. I also practice mindful eating whenever I sit down to a meal. I give thanks for my food and remove all distraction such as my phone, computer, TV, books etc and I just be with my food and the people I am sharing my meal with. It’s amazing how much better you digest your food when you practice mindful eating.
Can you name three people who inspire you (and why)?
- My husband is my biggest inspiration because he reminds me to be love in every moment. He doesn’t let me hang out in Fear Town with my Mean Girl, instead he inspires me to return to love.
- Jess Ainscough for being unapologetically herself.
- Mother Teresa for being the embodiment of unconditional love.
What’s your favourite inspirational quote?
Choose love over fear.
